YUNGBLUD is gearing up for an electrifying 2025, blending the release of a boundary-pushing double album with a headline spot at Bludfest in Milton Keynes Bowl. Fresh off announcing the festival's first wave of bands, the artist has teased a monumental follow-up to his 2022 self-titled album, aiming to redefine modern rock.
A 2025 Rock Opera for the Ages
Speaking to NME, YUNGBLUD revealed that his upcoming album will be a double release rooted in the themes of self-love and self-reclamation. Describing the project, he said: “The new album centres around the idea of self-love and self-reclamation that allows people to feel seen, and emit this light… Whoever you are, you’re fucking welcome here, as long as you are fucking loving.”
The rock opera promises a fusion of deep emotion and expansive creativity, with YUNGBLUD explaining:
“For the first time in my life, I think I’m starting to actually like myself. I’ve always written from a period of hatred towards myself. I made a fucking rock opera double album that has no limitations towards imagination.”
In a previous interview with Kerrang!, he hinted at his vision, aiming for a “classic rock record” reminiscent of what Led Zeppelin might sound like in 2025. The bold ambition behind this record underscores YUNGBLUD’s determination to evolve artistically while connecting with his ever-growing audience.
Bludfest 2025: A Must-Attend Festival
Beyond his new music, YUNGBLUD will take center stage at Bludfest 2025, held at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Known for his electrifying performances, fans can expect a high-energy show packed with both new material and fan favorites.
With the first wave of the Bludfest lineup announced, the festival is already shaping up to be a highlight of the summer. YUNGBLUD’s participation ensures the event will bring together a mix of raw energy, heartfelt lyrics, and genre-defying rock sounds.
