If, as clever people tend to day, good things come to those who wait, then Kylie Minogue’s long overdue appearance Sunday at Glastonbury Festival was a special treat.
The Aussie pop singer was meant to play the famous festival back in 2005, but she was forced to scrap the show and others to beat a breast cancer diagnosis. Minogue survived the ordeal and her career has thrived.
Fourteen years on, Kylie finally made it to Michael Eavis’ Worthy Farm on the weekend for a set that mined her decades-long pop career, from "Locomotion," "Hand On Heart," "Confide In Me," "Slow" and more.
Not to be outdone by Miley Cyrus’ surprise Glastonbury special guest lineup that included Lil Nas X and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kylie tapped Chris Martin for a rendition of "Can’t Get You Out Of My Head." It was Martin and Coldplay who filled in for Kylie in 2005 when she couldn’t play Glastonbury. Favor returned.

Also, Kylie joined forces on the Pyramid Stage with fellow ARIA Hall of Famer Nick Cave for a rendition of their darker-than-black duet “Where The Wild Roses Grow,” from 1995’s The Murder Ballads. Watch below.
Kylie is, of course, an icon in her adopted homeland, the U.K., where her most recent studio album Golden went to No. 1, her sixth leader there.
The former Neighbors actor has sold more than 80 million albums over her career, and won 16 ARIA Awards, three Brit Awards and a Grammys and in 2007 she became the first-ever woman (and first foreigner) to receive Britain's prestigious Music Industry Trusts' Award. In 2011, she was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Kylie's career-spanning Step Back In Time collection dropped June 28.
