Who would have thought that Ariana Grande's biggest hit to date wouldn't come from her newest album,Sweetener, but rather the quick-fire celebration of singledom? On the heels of the release of her newest single, "Thank U, Next," Grande released a video full of so many throwbacks that it's hard to believe that it hasn't been in the works for months. Listen up, single people: There is power in dumping someone and binge-ing high school/college comedies from the early 2000s!

Essentially, "Thank U, Next" is an ode to powerful women who have done cool things including, but not limited to: making good after plagiarizing cheerleading routines, finding their voices in law school, and dumping a B-level player on Saturday Night Live. Over the course of nearly six minutes, Grande manages to get a shout out to Mean Girls, Bring It On, 13 Going on 30, and Legally Blonde.

We also get a treat with some cameos from the guy who played Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls, Jennifer Coolidge from Legally Blonde, Troye Sivan, and, most importantly, the girl who wore camo pants and flip flops because Regina George wore camo pants and flip flops.

The song itself has broken a number of records since its release. On top of receiving the most Spotify streams by a female artist in one day, the song is Grande's first to debut at number one on the Billboard charts. So no matter how difficult a break up can be, Ariana Grande can rest assured that, at least professionally, this particular parting of ways worked in her favor. And she took the pig—dumbass.
